Nuvya ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered school management platform available at nuvya.world. We help schools automate operations, manage students, engage parents, and grow admissions.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number, school name, and role (principal, teacher, staff, parent, student).
  • School data: Student records, attendance, grades, fee transactions, timetables, and communication logs that schools upload or create on the platform.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address.
  • Communication data: WhatsApp messages sent through the platform, notification logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Nuvya platform and its features.
  • To authenticate users and manage school accounts.
  • To send transactional notifications (fee receipts, attendance alerts, OTPs).
  • To respond to support requests and resolve technical issues.
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve our product (aggregate, anonymized data only).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers: Cloud hosting (Railway, Vercel), WhatsApp Business API (Meta), payment processors (Razorpay), email services — only as necessary to operate the platform.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured cloud servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for data in transit and access controls for data at rest. We conduct regular security reviews and restrict access to personal data to authorized personnel only.

6. Data Retention

We retain school and student data for as long as your school account is active. Upon account deletion, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your data.
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.

Nuvya is used by schools to manage student records. Student data is processed on behalf of schools (our customers), who are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians in accordance with applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify account holders by email for material changes. Continued use of Nuvya after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
